The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, has officially announced the launch of the National Appointment System and its mobile app, Mawaeed. This innovative platform, one of the winning projects from the second edition of the Government Innovation Competition, Fikra, is designed to serve as a unified appointment booking system for services that require in-person attendance at government service centers. Al Qaed emphasized that the launch of Mawaeed aligns with the directives of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and supports the government’s vision for digital transformation. It is a critical component of the Government Plan 2023–2026, which aims to adopt new technologies and improve system efficiency. The initiative also follows the decisions of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology, chaired by His Excellency, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
