Saudi Arabia has issued a weather warning ahead of expected thunderstorms and floods in parts of the country. The General Directorate of Civil Defence urged the public to be cautious and remain in safe areas during the period of thunderstorms that will affect parts of the Kingdom until Sunday. It called on the public to avoid valleys and areas prone to flash floods, refrain from swimming in valley streams, and stay informed by following official announcements on various media outlets. Al Baha, Aseer, and Jazan regions may also witness moderate to heavy rainfall, while the Eastern Region and Madinah will likely experience light to moderate rain.
