The second Film Criticism Conference commenced yesterday in Riyadh and will run until November 10. Hosted by the Saudi Film Commission, the conference boasts a significant global presence, attracting renowned filmmakers, critics, and cinephiles from around the world. Held under the theme “Sound in Cinema,” the Film Criticism Conference aims to explore the various impacts of sound on the film experience and its influence on the film industry. Discussions will cover different elements such as film scores, sound effects, and nature sounds. Throughout the event, specialists and critics will share their views and insights through panel discussions and presentations. The conference will include workshops, film screenings, and interactive exhibits designed to provide a fulfilling experience for all cinephiles and art enthusiasts, SPA reported.
