Abu Dhabi is supporting SMEs in the emirate to expand internationally as it looks to enhance global trade and enterprise from within the city. The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development’s (ADDED) SME Export Matching Programme has witnessed major milestones within its first cycle. Fourteen SMEs participants in the programme are already forecasting a 44 per cent increase in their exports this year (2024) compared to 2023, with export value expected to reach AED387m ($105m). Abu Dhabi SME trade exports In less than a year since its launch, the programme has connected participants with more than 800 strategic stakeholders, linking them to potential international customers, distributors, and business partners.
