Manama, Dec. 29 (BNA): The Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has announced that the new year will begin with a cold wave, as forecasts indicate that a high-pressure system will bring northwesterly winds accompanied by a cold air mass starting from the evening of next Tuesday. The directorate noted that wind speeds will gradually increase, becoming strong on the first day of the new year. These northwesterly winds are expected to persist across the Kingdom until the beginning of the following week, causing dust and raising sea waves to heights of up to 6 feet. Cold weather conditions are expected to return, with daytime temperatures around 20C and nighttime lows dropping to 12C. However, the perceived temperatures will feel even lower due to the strong winds. The Meteorological Directorate advises citizens and residents, especially those venturing out to sea, to exercise caution and stay updated with issued forecasts and warnings.
