President Tebboune's decision to supply Lebanon with fuel oil widely praised

ALGIERS- Lebanese political and economic figures have praised the decision of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to "immediately" supply Lebanon with quantities of fuel oil to run power stations, saying that the decision comes to show the strength and depth of the fraternal and historical relations between the two brotherly countries and their peoples.

The Lebanese minister of Industry, Georges Bouchikian, commended "the noble, sincere and generous decision of the brotherly Algerian State, its president, government and people, for the benefit of Lebanon, sent to Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati by Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, on the immediate supply of Lebanon in fuel oil to help it overcome this difficult situation."

"Algeria has once again displayed genuine and constant support to Lebanon. And we, the Lebanese, are grateful for this gesture, a sign of real fraternity. We will never forget this precious support at a time when we are most in need of fuel oil to run power stations in our country. Thank you from the bottom of the heart Algeria," he said in a statement reported by the Lebanese National News Agency.

The Lebanese minister of Energy and Water resources, Walid Fayad, welcomed the initiative of Algeria to immediately send fuel oil to his country, to re-establish the power supply that is interrupted.

"Algeria has always been alongside Lebanon and has spared no effort to support it in crises," he added.

The member of Amal movement's board, Kablan Kablan, wrote on X (ex-Twitter): "Thanks and many thanks Algeria, which always extends its hand to help Lebanon getting out of the crisis. Thank you, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Thanks to the government and the brotherly people of Algeria, who place brotherhood above interests."

The chairman of the Algerian-Lebanese Business Council, Wissam Aris, expressed in a communiqué, "his thanks to the brotherly Algerian State, its president, its government and its people, for the decision of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to supply Lebanon with fuel oil in the face of the electricity crisis."
