Presidential candidate Aouchiche calls on Algerians to mobilize, choose next president

SETIF (Algeria)- Socialist Forces Front candidate to the presidential election of September 7th, Youcef Aouchiche, on Saturday, in Setif, called on the Algerians to mobilize and choose the country's president for the coming five years.

Holding a meeting at the Houari-Boumediene Community Arts Centre, the candidate Aouchiche said "change will be made through the mobilisation of the Algerian people for the election to choose the most suitable candidate to lead the country."

"All the Algerians should be involved in the change process to build a strong Algeria, with institutions deriving their legitimacy from popular sovereignty."

Explaining his election programme, the candidate of the Socialist Forces Front said his project, entitled "Vision for Tomorrow," included proposals for political and institutional reforms, to establish an "effective governing system restoring hope to the Algerian people."

Aouchiche pledged that if elected, he would build an economy based on foresight and proactivity, encourage investment and support young project holders.

He also committed to review the budgets of some sectors, giving priority to education, higher education and health, given their importance to the country's future and in the achievement of social justice.

The candidate of the Socialist Forces Front pledged to preserve the social nature of the State, mainly through "the revision of the social transfer policy and by rationalizing public spending."
