10th day of election campaign: Call for strong voter turnout on presidential election day

ALGIERS-On the 10th day of the election campaign, candidates and their representatives urged voters to exercise their right to vote on polling day, underlining the crucial importance of every ballot in the democratic process.

Speaking from Setif, the candidate of the Front of Socialist Forces (FFS), Youcef Aouchiche told a popular rally that “responsibility lies with everyone, and every Algerian must be involved in this process of change to build a strong Algeria with institutions that derive their legitimacy from popular sovereignty.”

Explaining his program, the FFS candidate considered that his “Vision for Tomorrow” project is a “set of political and institutional reforms” aimed at establishing “an effective system of governance that gives Algerians hope of living in dignity.”

At a rally in Tlemcen, Brahim Merad, campaign manager for independent candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune, called on citizens to turn out en masse at polling stations on September 7 to elect independent candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune, so that he completes building the “New Algeria.”

Merad, who also held outreach events in Mascara and Sidi Bel-Abbes, said that Abdelmadjid Tebboune will work to “relaunch the national economy and continue the important economic achievements made during his first term” as president.

He stated that Tebboune would also work to “create new delegated provinces, as part of a new administrative division of the country, which will enshrine the principle of bringing citizens closer to the administration.”

For their part, the leaders of political groups supporting the independent candidate, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, crisscrossed several provinces, holding meetings and stressing the need to vote in large numbers on election day to “complete the development and construction of the New Algeria”.

In the province of Tlemcen, the candidate of the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP), Abdelaali Hassani Cherif called on citizens to turn out en masse to the polls on September 7 to vote for him and “allow him to implement his program.”

He affirmed that his electoral program, which was “studied and precise, focuses on a set of political and socio-economic objectives, including democracy and pluralism, development projects in the country, as well as the enshrinement of social solidarity and the promotion of the role of youth and women.”

For the MSP candidate, “Algeria conceals great potential capable of making it a leading country.”
