He noted that voting will commence in the aforementioned five polling stations starting from Tuesday.

He added that the Electoral Commission has been set up at the diplomatic representation or consulate level in the province of Alicante, comprising four people led by the Consul of Algeria in Alicante, the representative of the National Independent Authority of Elections  (ANIE) as vice-president, and two representatives from the national community in Alicante. They will supervise the electoral process from September 2 to 7. He noted that "the Commission's work will end with the preparation of the vote count minutes and the final report, which will be submitted to ANIE in Algeria."

Regarding the electorate, Benkerourou reported that the number of voters registered at the Alicante voting center has reached 10,070, including 194 new registered electors distributed across the seven polling stations.
