“In anticipation of the presidential election of 7 September 2024, the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning has taken special measures applicable nationwide from Friday 6 September 2024 at midnight to Sunday 8 September 2024 at 5.00 a.m.,” the same source added.

“It includes the adjournment, to later dates, of all sporting or cultural events and the closure of weekly markets, of all types, banning the movements of goods vehicles (rubble, sand, wood, construction materials) and fuel tankers, in addition to the prohibition of goods transport by rail,” the same source added

“The measures do not affect vehicles involved in food distribution or the functioning of daily fruit and vegetable markets, whether wholesale, semi-wholesale or retail,” the same source said.
