One of the key factors which led to voting in favour of the President of the Republic, is the fact that his electoral program did not focus on mere electoral promises, but on concrete commitments to strategic development projects, many of which are already underway.

His candidness and data-driven speech during his election campaign, mirrored his control over the situation.

Abdelmadjid Tebboune entered the presidential race with strong support from various political parties, associations, and civil society organizations, which contributed to the success of his electoral campaign.

The Algerian people, to whom he has spoken with the same sincerity over the past five years, have seen in him his deep attachment to the homeland, which is his supreme interest.

After casting his ballot, Abdelmadjid Tebboune said in a statement on Saturday “I wish the best for our dear homeland and that it triumphs in all circumstances. Those who have followed us, both from within and outside the country, have seen that (...) the three candidates have been exemplary and have presented a very honourable image of Algeria and its democracy.”

During his first presidential term, he fulfilled his 54 campaign commitments, continuing his efforts to strengthen stability amidst erratic regional environment, and allowing the country at a time the global economy witnessed a recession, to record positive economic development indicators, as recognized by international bodies.

The first term of the President of the Republic was marked by the achievement of several historic gains in social development, aimed at preserving citizens' dignity and improving their purchasing power.[/ecr]
