ALGIERS-Many heads of State and government on Monday congratulated President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune on his re-election, expressing their willingness to continue the ongoing collaboration and to strengthen the ties of friendship between their countries and Algeria.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on his re-election for a second presidential term.

The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulated, in a phone call, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on his re-election “for the renewed confidence bestowed upon him by the Algerian people for a new presidential term, which crowns a sincere and devoted effort over five years of diligent work in the service of national interest, as well as at the regional and international levels.”

In response, the President of the Republic “thanked his brother, the Emir of the State of Qatar, a brotherly country, for his fraternal congratulations and warm sentiments, and for the efforts undertaken by the State of Qatar in support of the Palestinian people.”

In this respect, the two leaders expressed “their aspiration to continue the cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields to strengthen the fraternal relations and common interests.” 

The Emir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, sent a message of congratulations to his brother the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in which he extended his wishes for success, achievements, health and well-being, wishing further development of the good relations between the two brotherly countries.

The vice-president, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the vice-president, deputy Prime Minister, and President of the Presidential Court, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also congratulated the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The president of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, congratulated his brother, the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the confidence renewed in him by the Algerian people and his re-election for a new term. He wished him success in his presidential duties and stressed the strong relations between Algeria and Mauritania.

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, also received a phone call on Monday from his Somali counterpart, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, during which the latter congratulated him on his re-election for a new presidential term.

The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, for his part, extended his “warmest” congratulations to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on his re-election to the Presidency of the Republic, emphasizing that “relations with Algeria remain exceptional in all areas, notably in security and counterterrorism.”

The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, congratulated the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Sunday on his re-election. He extended his warm congratulations on his behalf and on behalf of the brotherly Palestinian people on his election for a new presidential term and wished him every success in serving the Algerian people and the causes of the Ummah.

Tunisia’s President, Kais Saied, congratulated, on his behalf and on behalf of the Tunisian People, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on his election for a second presidential term, wishing him and the Algerians further prosperity.

The President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Bashar al-Assad, congratulated his brother the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on his re-election for a second term, noting that “the President’s well-deserved victory shows the Algerian people’s trust in him, as well as his wisdom and handling of the events shaking the world.”

The President of the Republic received a phone call from his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which he congratulated him on his re-election.

The United States (US) Department of State commended the results of the presidential election, reaffirming interest in their relations with Algeria and willingness to continue working with the President of the Republic to boost them during his second term.
