This session was devoted to debating the theme of “The impact of crises on the socioeconomic rights of young people.”
Participants examined how global crises such as wars, economic recessions, pandemics and climate change severely affect youth education and employment.
The session participants also discussed “the legislative, political, financial and control measures that young parliamentarians can take to defend youth education and employment, especially during times of crisis.”
A lower house delegation, led by Mohamed Anouar Bouchouit, also a member of the youth forum council and member of the bureau of the Permanent Commission on International Security and Peace at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), is taking part, from September 12 to 15, in this Conference, held in Yerevan, Armenia.
Organized jointly by the IPU and the National Assembly of Armenia, this conference is placed under the theme “Preserving education and employment in all circumstances,” the statement wrapped up.
