Constitutional Court proclaims Abdelmadjid Tebboune President of the Republic

ALGIERS-The Constitutional Court on Saturday proclaimed Abdelmadjid Tebboune President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for a second term, following his victory in the September 7, 2024, presidential election.

According to the final results, Abdelmadjid Tebboune was elected by absolute majority with 84.30% of the votes cast, while the candidate Abdelaali Hassani Cherif obtained 9.56% of the votes cast and the candidate Youcef Aouchiche 6.14% of the votes cast.
