Death of former Peruvian president: Goudjil signs condolence book

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, signed on Sunday, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the headquarters of the embassy of the Republic of Peru in Algeria, the condolence book following the death of former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori.

“It is with immense sadness that we learned about the death of the former president of the Republic of Peru Alberto Fujimori. In this painful ordeal, and in the name of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and in the name of the Algerian people and government, and on my own behalf, I extend to the friendly Peruvian people and to the deceased’s family, our heartfelt condolences and deep compassion,” wrote Goudjil.

"In these painful circumstances, we can only remember the qualities of the late president who governed Peru for a whole decade, marking major milestone in the modern history of his country," he added.

"We reiterate our sincere condolences and deep compassion. Please accept our most sincere greetings," concluded Goudjil.
