Mawlid Ennabaoui celebration: Winners of Quran recitation competition honored

ALGIERS — Assigned by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, chaired on Sunday evening at Djamaa El-Djazair, accompanied by the rector of Djamaa El-Djazair, Mohamed Maamoun Al-Kacimi Al-Hoceini, the ceremony celebrating Mawlid Ennabaoui Echarif and honoring the winners of the Holy Quran recitation competition.

The ceremony began after the Maghreb prayer, with the collective recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran, performed by students from the Imam-Malik school in Algiers. The rector of Djamaa El-Djazair then gave a sermon on the praiseworthy qualities of the Prophet (PBUH).

At the end of the ceremony, six young reciters, both male and female, were honored in the Holy Quran recitation competition.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning, Brahim Merad, and the Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Youcef Belmehdi.
