Indian PM congratulates President Tebboune on re-election

ALGIERS — The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of his re-election for a second term, stressing that his country places “great importance” on expanding and deepening cooperation with Algeria, the Presidency of the Republic indicated on Thursday in a statement.

“The Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of his re-election for a second term, in which he underscored the strength of the traditional friendship relations between India and Algeria, based on mutual trust, sincere will and exchange of views on regional and international issues,” the statement said.

The Indian Prime Minister also “assured the President of the Republic that India attaches great importance to broadening and deepening cooperation with Algeria, serving the common interests of the two peoples,” the same source concluded.
