During this meeting, Attaf expressed to his Lebanese counterpart “Algeria's firm condemnation and denunciation of the barbaric Zionist aggression against Lebanon, a brotherly country.”

He reaffirmed “Algeria's unwavering support and solidarity with the Lebanese brothers during this difficult and exceptional time.”

“As a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, Algeria stands ready to back the Lebanese brothers. It will spare no effort in defending the sovereignty, integrity and security of Lebanon, amidst the growing escalation of the Israeli occupation which is, in fact, an extension of the genocidal war waged against the Palestinians throughout their occupied territories, particularly in Gaza,” Attaf stressed.
