Government meeting examines purchasing power measures

ALGIERS- The Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, chaired Wednesday, a government meeting dedicated to examining the various measures taken and proposed as part of the implementation of the orientations of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the preservation of citizens’ purchasing power. Here is full text:

“The Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui chaired a government meeting this day, Wednesday, 6 November 2024, devoted to examining and studying the various measures taken and proposed as part of the implementation of the guidelines of the President of the Republic relating to the preservation of the purchasing power of the citizen, in particular by capping prices and regulating and organizing the national market and ensuring its supply of basic and widely consumed products.

As part of the continued enactment of the implementing texts of law No.24-04 of 26 February 2024 establishing the rules for prevention, intervention and reduction of disaster risks as part of sustainable development, the Government has examined two draft executive decrees relating to the development of specific plans for the management of debris, residues and other waste generated by disasters, and the establishment of the intersectoral committee responsible for the assessment of damage caused by disasters.

The Government also examined a draft executive decree setting the organization of the campaign to fight forest fires, which comes in application of the provisions of law No.23-21 of 23 December 2023 relating to forests and forest resources and aimed at improving the effectiveness of prevention and firefighting devices.

Finally, the Government received a report on the launch of the 2024-2025 desert tourism season, in which emphasis was placed on the importance of taking all measures to effectively and professionally promote the Algeria tourist destination, as part of the strategy for the development and promotion of desert, while removing all obstacles and eliminating all aspects of bureaucracy.”[/ecr]
