ORAN- The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is committed to upholding the spirit of November and the message of the Martyrs and attaches particular importance to strengthening the ties of the Algerians with their glorious history," Minister of Mujahedeen and Rights Holders, Laid Rebiga, said on Thursday, in Oran.

In a national colloquium organized by the National Association of War of National Liberation Disabled Veterans, which was attended by senior officials of the liberation war from the country’s various provinces, representatives of the organizations of the revolutionary family, as well as a representative of the Palestinian Embassy in Algeria, entitled "The Algerian Revolution and the Revolutions of the World," the minister said that the President of the Republic "always makes sure to preserve the message of the martyrs and the mujahedeen and attaches particular importance to the strengthening of the Algerians’ ties with their glorious history.”

Rebiga emphasized that the Ministry of Mujahideen, "under the directives of the President of the Republic, stands by the mujahideen, the widows and children of the martyrs, supports them and ensures their wellbeing, in recognition of their sacrifices".

The same official expressed gratitude to the members of the People's National Army that made tremendous efforts in demining areas that had been mined by the colonizer during the war of liberation.

For his part, the President of the National Association of War of National Liberation Disabled Veterans, Haï Abdennebi, underscored that the organization of the colloquium, which bears the slogan of "the Revolution of November 1st, a model for revolutionaries and an example for free peoples,” aims to "preserve the memory of the nation, to reject the policy of oblivion and to commemorate the souls of the deceased martyrs and mujahideen.”

 

He underlined that Algeria has been “a bulwark, thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs and mujahedeen, to the efforts of its loyal citizens, the courageous men of the People’s National Army and its different security services, and has become an impregnable fortress against anyone who tries to undermine its security.”

 

Hai welcomed the efforts made by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to build a new secure and stable Algeria, and its key role in supporting just causes in the world, notably the Palestinian and Sahrawi issues, in the face of the forces of injustice and colonialism.
