Organized by Radio Algeria International and the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, the conference was held at the “Aissa Messaoudi” Cultural Club at the headquarters of the Algerian Radio, themed “Algeria and Palestine: Decades of Support and Fidelity to the Oath,” as part of the commemoration of the 36^th anniversary of the proclamation of the State of Palestine in Algeria and the 20^th anniversary of the death of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.

The participants discussed the political dimensions and implications of the proclamation of the State of Palestine, as well as the historical importance in supporting the Palestinian people's struggle for freedom and independence, while highlighting the historical and legal responsibilities of the United Nations and the international community to put an end to the injustices against the Palestinian people and to thwart the Zionist plans aimed at erasing the Palestinian cause.

They emphasized that this proclamation is “a pivotal step in consolidating Algeria's efforts in favour of the Palestinian people and their just cause, in a time of betrayals, conspiracies and unjust alliances with the detriment of the victim.”[/ecr]
