President Tebboune co-chairs with South African counterpart signing ceremony of MoUs

ALGIERS-The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, co-chaired Friday, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, with the President of South Africa, brotherly country, Cyril Ramaphosa, the signing ceremony of memoranda of understanding between the two countries in several sectors.

In this respect, the two presidents signed the Joint Declaration of Strategic Partnership between Algeria and South Africa.

A memorandum of understanding in the agronomic research and a memorandum of understanding between the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL) and the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) were signed during the ceremony.

The two countries also signed a memorandum of understanding in entrepreneurship and innovation, and another on economic cooperation, and a last one on legal and judicial mutual assistance.

Minutes of the 7th Algerian-South African Joint High Commission on Cooperation were also signed on this occasion.

Shortly before, the President of the Republic co-chaired with his South African counterpart the works of the meeting of the Algerian-South African Joint High Commission on Cooperation.

Previously, the President of the Republic held one-on-one discussions with his South African counterpart, to whom he devoted an official welcome befitting his stature and the relations binding the two countries.

The South African president arrived on Thursday evening in Algiers for a state visit at the invitation of his brother, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. [/ecr]
