We are deeply convinced that cooperation with Algeria will bolster African cooperation

ALGIERS- South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, said Friday he is deeply convinced that cooperation between Algeria and his country will strengthen African cooperation.

 In a press statement jointly with the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, following their talks at the the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, President Cyril Ramaphosa affirmed: “we are deeply convinced that the cooperation between South Africa and Algeria will strengthen the African cooperation.”

“We are very pleased about this cooperation between our two countries and seek to raise the trading level, which will be strengthened by launching a free trade and commerce zone between the two countries,” he said, pointing out that “the South African people thank Algeria” for standing with them in their struggle and for hosting leader Nelson Mandela.

In this respect, Ramaphosa expressed his wish to “strengthen the historical bonds between the two countries,” thanking the President of the Republic and Algeria for the warm welcome he received.

At the international level, the South African President denounced “the violation of the international law,” recalling the complaint filed by his country against the Zionist entity for war crimes committed in Gaza, and affirmed that he has received “significant support from many countries” in this regard.

“We insist on respecting international law in Palestine and stand in solidarity with all oppressed peoples,” he emphasized. [/ecr]
