"Algeria expresses its strong condemnation of the violation of Syria's sovereignty by the Zionist entity's army and the aggression against its territory, after it took control of the buffer zone of the occupied Golan Heights and the announcement of the cancellation of the withdrawal agreement signed in 1974, taking advantage of the current situation in Syria and the stability in the region, and imposing a new fait accompli through the expansionist and colonial policy of the Zionist occupation authorities," the statement said.

Algeria also condemns " the repeated attacks by the occupying army, which have been on the increase recently, against Syrian infrastructures and institutions," the statement said.

"Reiterating its unwavering position in favour of Syria's unity and territorial integrity, and its legitimate right to recover the occupied Golan Heights in line with applicable laws and international conventions, Algeria calls on the international community to adopt a unified stance that ensures Syria's security, stability and territorial integrity," the statement concluded.
