Attaf arrives in Burundi for official visit

ALGIERS-In his capacity as a special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, arrived on Wednesday afternoon, in Bujumbura (the Republique of Burundi) for an official visit, the ministry said in a press release.

“This visit is part of the moves aimed at boosting the bilateral relations of fraternity and cooperation, as well as the coordination and consultation on the main files and issues on the continental agenda,” said the press release.

“The Minister of State will be received by the President of the Republic of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye, to whom he will deliver a letter from his brother President Abdelmadjid Tebboune,” according to the same source.

Attaf will also hold a working session with his Burundian counterpart, Albert Shingiro.
