In response to an oral question during a plenary session at the People’s National Assembly, Merad recalled that “the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, pays special attention to school catering,” he further underscored that “the budget allocated by the State to school catering for the 2024 fiscal year is estimated at DZD 60 billion.”

At the start of the 2024-2025 school year, “instructions have been given to the governors for opening all school canteens and providing hot meals to students,” he said, emphasizing that thanks to these instructions “99% of school canteens at the national level were opened,” which include “42,842 contracted employees and agents.”

Responding to another question concerning vehicles “subject to opposition,” the minister underlined that “vehicle registration, which is governed by legislative and regulatory texts, represents the final stage of the administrative process allowing the identification of vehicles before their circulation.”  [/ecr]
