ALGIERS– Minister of Health, Abdelhak Saihi, was received on Wednesday in Lilongwe by President of the Republic of Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera, as part of his official visit to the country in his capacity as special envoy of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a statement from the Ministry.

[ecr] On this occasion, the Minister handed the President of Malawi "a letter from the President of the Republic and conveyed his warm greetings and highest regards."

The minister further reiterated the President of the Republic's willingness "to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and solidarity between the two countries for the mutual benefit of both peoples," the same source added.

For his part, President Lazarus Chakwera "recalled the visit he made to Algeria and expressed his strong will to promote cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, tourism, and mining."

Moreover, the Malawian President underlined "the importance of these sectors in boosting sustainable economic development for the benefit of both peoples."

He further entrusted his guest with delivering his greetings and highest regards to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the same source concluded. [/ecr]
