ALGIERS– A coordination meeting of the National Council delegation was held on Sunday in Cairo (Egypt), ahead of its participation, on Monday, in a joint delegation from both chambers of Parliament, in the work of the 36th Executive Committee of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) and the meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Excellence Award Commission, according to a statement issued by the Council.

The agenda of the two meetings includes "reviewing regulatory issues related to the Union's budget and the location of its Secretariat-General, mechanisms to revitalize the activities of its standing committees, as well as the selection of the winners of the Arab Parliamentary Excellence Award Commission in its various categories," added the source.

The agenda also includes "the presentation of recommendations at the next AIPU conference," according to the same source.

The delegation is made up of president of the presidential third parliamentary group and member of the AIPU Executive Committee, Saad Arous, and president of the parliamentary group of the National Democratic Rally (RND), Afif Senoussa, the council concluded. [/ecr]
