Placed under the patronage of the president of the Republic, the meeting is bringing together government representatives and the walis (province governors), is being held under the theme "Local Authorities: Driving Force of National Development."

The two-day meeting will provide an opportunity for the participants to discuss local sustainable development, food and water security challenges, wealth and job creation, digitization and modernisation of local public services and urban planning to ensure a high-quality living environment.
