Chairing the opening of the Government-Governors meeting at the Palace of Nations, in Algiers, the President of the Republic said: “I am pleased to share with you the opening of the Government-Governors meeting, which should be an opportunity to respond, under the best conditions, to the requirements of sustainable local development, particularly regarding local economic activity in all its diversity and richness, but also to consolidate the achievements made through the State’s efforts aimed at promoting social life and improving citizens’ living conditions.”

The President of the Republic emphasized that “the foundations of a local governance, based on citizen participation, equity in development and rigor in the management of public funds, have been set.”

In this regard, he called to “continue the efforts so as to establish modern management methods in both mindset and practice.”
