In a speech delivered at the opening of the Government-Governors meeting, held at the Palace of Nations, the President of the Republic emphasized that the Government was “called upon to develop a multidimensional national strategy to combat drugs and psychotropic substances during the first quarter of 2025 to protect young people against the risks’ of this scourge, by involving “all stakeholders” in the development of this strategy.
The President of the Republic also instructed the Governors to “dedicate spaces for small professional activities that do not fall within the scope of industrial zone activities” for “the creation of workshops dedicated to manual trades such as construction and plumbing,” which will contribute to “youth employment” and “the creation of economic dynamism,” he said.
He noted that the services of the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Planning “will examine the financing modalities for these workshops intended for young people.”
After thanking all those who contributed to energizing the start-up sector and creating jobs, the President of the Republic insisted on the need to “continue on this path, particularly in remote municipalities.”
He thereby instructed the governors to “support investment projects, regardless of their size, to create jobs,” recalling his commitment during his last electoral campaign to “create 450,000 jobs.”
