Chairing the opening of the Government-Governors meeting at the Palace of Nations, the President of the Republic said: "Thank God, we perceive the strong patriotic enthusiasm among our youths. We must therefore live up to their expectations, especially since our country has so many martyrs. Besides Algeria, no other people have seen 5,600,000 of their children fall as martyrs, from the popular resistance that lasted 70 years until the glorious National Liberation Revolution that definitively ended colonialism."
"This nation, whose citizens carry the blood of martyrs in their veins, will be protected. Those who believe they can destabilize Algeria through a hashtag are gravely mistaken," he warned.
"We must therefore live up to their expectations (the youths). This is not about demagoguery; we are at the service of the people,” he added.
The President of the Republic insisted, in this regard, on the necessity for all officials and elected representatives to be "constantly listening to citizens and treating them with decency."
He stressed that "all local officials must adhere to proper administrative protocols when receiving citizens, especially young people, ensuring their concerns and ideas are heard."
