Address of President Tebboune to nation: “Well-defined vision”

ALGIERS-Several political parties welcomed on Monday the content of the address of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the nation on Sunday, considering that the “major axes” outlined in his speech demonstrated a “political will with well-defined vision.”

The National Liberation Front Party (FLN) welcomed the content of the President’s speech, particularly the assessment of achievements accomplished, emphasizing that this speech “has traced the path of victorious Algeria towards leadership.”

Quoting from the speech, the party praised Algeria’s constitutional traditions, which “embody a new approach to managing public affairs” for the benefit of citizens, affirming that the President’s speech “mirrors the position of legislative power and the role of parliamentarians who represent the people and carry their hopes and ambitions.

The party noted that the content of the speech “embodies a commitment translating the political will to move forward in establishing principles of good governance,” emphasizing “the President’s frankness regarding Algeria’s positions on several sensitive issues, which demonstrates Algeria’s sovereignty over its political decisions (…).”

El Moustakbal Front expressed “its deep interest” in the President’s speech, emphasizing that this speech “includes several essential points reflecting the political will to build a new Algeria that meets its citizens’ aspirations and strengthens its position both domestically and internationally.”

In this respect, the party welcomed the “commitments and programs aimed at achieving comprehensive economic and social development through a clear strategic vision.”

Referring to the President’s call for inclusive national political dialogue, El Moustakbal Front welcomed this initiative which aims to “strengthen fundamental rights and contribute to expanding the action of political parties and associations, while consolidating the internal front to ensure lasting political stability and establish genuine democratic practice.”

For its part, the National Militant Front party (FMN) considered that the President’s address to the nation demonstrated “the political will to achieve good governance through consultation.”

As for the President’s call for national dialogue, the FMN urged to “continue listening to all components of society, including new political parties.”

For its part, the TAJ party praised the content of the President’s speech, highlighting “the President’s firm and constant commitment to honouring all his pledges made to the Algerian people, to improve citizens’ living standards and preserve their dignity, through the promotion of the Algerian economy.”

Ledit party also welcomed the President’s determination to “launch a national dialogue to complete the organization of political life and build State institutions,” reaffirming its “full support for this approach towards a secure, stable and prosperous Algeria.”

Ennahda Movement stated that it followed the President’s speech, describing it as “a commendable tradition that enshrines complementarity between elected, executive and legislative institutions, to meet the Algerian people’s aspirations for rights, freedoms and decent living.”

Regarding the call for national dialogue with the political class, Ennahda considered that this “political approach enshrines national consensus and mobilizes various Algerian energies and capabilities to continue building the Algerian State on the principles of the November 1st Proclamation.”
