His numerous national and continental titles, outstanding international performances, and leadership as head coach of the national boxing team have forever etched his name in our sporting history,” the condolence message said.

“In this painful ordeal, where we bid farewell, with emotion and sadness, to a legend of the noble art with great achievements, I extend to you, as well as to Algerian athletes, my heartfelt condolences, assuring you of my deep compassion and praying to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased His holy mercy and welcome him into His vast paradise.
