The meeting provided “an opportunity to review the different aspects of fraternal relations, cooperation and solidarity between Algeria and Cameroon, and to discuss ways to elevate them to broader prospects, in line with the high directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother President Paul Biya, aimed at instilling increased dynamism in the partnership between the two brotherly countries,” the statement said.

During the same day, “Attaf held a working session with the Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Cameroon, Lejeune Mbella Mbella, dedicated to examining practical measures to implement the cooperation activities agreed upon during the Cameroonian minister's visit to Algeria last December,” the same source said.

The two parties also underscored “the necessity to continue consultation on the main current issues at the African level, as well as coordination on matters on the UN agenda, particularly at a time when Algeria chairs the Security Council and Cameroon holds the presidency of the UN General Assembly,” the same source wrapped up.
