Meziane added that media outlets must support this development revival supervised by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and equip themselves with the necessary professional means to support this colossal effort led by the State and highlight the achieved major projects.

He noted that the television’s role in supporting development, alongside its media, cultural, and educational functions, is particularly crucial. He also highlighted Algeria’s numerous infrastructure projects that have had significant impact across the Maghreb region and Africa.

The Minister of Communication also hailed the important role played by the Algerian media in development, emphasizing that private channels can also be an added value to this national effort.

For his part, the Director General of the Algerian Public Television Establishment (EPTV), Mohamed Baghali, said that this company is not just a media outlet, but also a civic institution, highlighting the support that the Algerian Television provides to the economic operators, as well as the promotion of local products and support for the economic momentum advocated by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The same official emphasized the role of the Algerian Public Television Enterprise as a link between citizens and the State’s institutions, through its constant support and its role in shedding light on development projects and achievements, particularly in recent years.

For his part, the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, Omar Rekkache, noted that media outlets are a strategic partner in the field of investment promotion, constituting a link between investors and various actors, allowing them to access accurate and precise information on available investment opportunities, economic reforms, and government policies aimed at encouraging investment.

Rekkache said that the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency will soon launch a quarterly magazine focused on ideas and practices to enhance investment appeal. The magazine will feature statistics, studies, and analysis of investment challenges and opportunities, while fostering discussions about reforms and policies to improve the investment climate.

He emphasized the need to showcase national and local initiatives, present the completed projects, promote the business environment, and to increase the visibility of domestic products across all platforms.

He considered that it is necessary to move from simply presenting economic information to the public to adopting a new communication approach, aimed at strengthening economic development in a way that has a positive impact on the citizens’ awareness and development in general, emphasizing the need to involve institutions in this approach to promote national production, which is not inferior in quality to imported products.
