Attaf holds talks with Congolese Counterpart

ALGIERS-The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held talks on Wednesday, in Brazzaville, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Congo, Jean-Claude Gakosso, as part of his official visit as the special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the ministry said in a press release.

This meeting was an opportunity to “examine the means to maintain the positive momentum characterizing the relations between the two brotherly countries, in light of the particular interest shown by the presidents of the two countries, notably in the fields of defence, interior, energy, mines, air transport, trade, and higher education,” said the same source.

The two ministers exchanged views on several important issues on the African Union’s agenda in anticipation of the upcoming continental events, concluded the press release.
