Constitutional Court President receives UNDP Resident Representative in Algeria

ALGIERS — The President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj, received on Thursday in Algiers the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Algeria, Natasha Van Rijn, the Court said in a statement.

During this meeting, held at the Constitutional Court headquarters, both parties reviewed “the privileged partnership between the Constitutional Court and UNDP, as part of the support project titled “The Constitution in Service of the Citizen,” which entered its second phase 2022-2026 starting December 2022,” the same source said.

The meeting, attended by Constitutional Court members, concluded with both parties expressing their willingness to “elevate this partnership to the highest levels, in service of the objectives of building a state of law” and to “strengthen the role of constitutional justice in protecting rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution.”
