President of the Republic: Algeria guarantees right to organize, State pledges to respect it

ALGIERS—The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, emphasized during a Council of Ministers meeting on Monday that the exercise of the right to organize is guaranteed in Algeria and that the State is committed to respecting it.

In response to a presentation on enhancing trade union action and social dialogue, the President of the Republic underscored that the right to organize is guaranteed in Algeria and that the State pledges to respect it. He noted that the Government needs strong and representative trade unions to improve the world of work.

"The reorganization and adaptation of trade unions must comply with the new law to strengthen social dialogue across all sectors," President Tebboune affirmed.[/ecr]
