During this meeting held at the ministry’s headquarters, the two parties discussed “the solid relations between the two countries and their shared willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of media and communication,” said the press release.

In this regard, they welcomed the “qualitative leap of the Algerian-Jordanian relations following the State visit made by the King of Jordan to Algeria, on 3 and 4 December 2022, which enabled the signing of agreements in the media field, including the conclusion of a cooperation agreement between Algeria Press Service (APS) and its Jordanian counterpart.”

The two parties also explored “opportunities to exchange media programs and content between Algeria and Jordan, in addition to the possibility of producing joint works between the two countries, particularly with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, which will bring added value and fruitful cooperation.”   

In this respect, the Jordanian ambassador proposed to the Minister of Communication “to promote cooperation in media training and to organize training cycles involving media field actors, thus creating a space for exchange of experiences and expertise between Algeria and Jordan.”
