Mansouri holds talks in Juba with South Sudanese Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Interior

ALGIERS-The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Bakhta Selma Mansouri, held talks, during her visit to Juba (capital of South Sudan), with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ramadan Mohamed Abdallah Goc, and the Minister of Interior of South Sudan, Angelina Jany Teny, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs said Wednesday in a press release.

The talks discussed “the bilateral relations between Algeria and South Sudan and ways to boost them, as well as issues of priority to South Sudan, notably regarding security and development,” said the press release.

Mansouri also held a working session at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, during which she discussed with the South Sudanese side “ways to promote bilateral agricultural cooperation so as to strengthen food security and sustainable development in South Sudan, as part of following up on the implementation of the recommendations of the African Union Extraordinary Summit on the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program post-Malabo, held in Kampala this January,” added the same source.
