Algeria, Slovenia hold 3rd bilateral political consultations

ALGIERS-The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Lounès Magramane, co-chaired on Thursday, in Algiers, with his Slovenian counterpart, Marko Stucin, the State Secretary for European and Political Affairs, International Law and Protection of Interests, the 3rd Algerian-Slovenian political consultations, as per a ministry statement.

This meeting, which is as part of strengthening bilateral political dialogue, “reviewed of the state of relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen them in various areas of cooperation, notably energy, mining, pharmaceutical industry, higher education, scientific research, artificial intelligence and space technologies, as part of continuing the implementation of the joint declaration signed on 30 August 2024 in Ljubljana, by the foreign ministers of both countries.”

Regional and international issues of common interest were also discussed during these political consultations, particularly developments in the Middle East and Sahel as well as the Western Sahara issue, concluded the press release.
