As special envoy of President Tebboune, Rebiga received by Mozambican President

ALGIERS-In his capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Laid Rebiga, was received by the President of Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo, the ministry said Thursday in a press release.

During this meeting, Rebiga delivered a letter from President Tebboune to his brother, the President of Mozambique.

In this respect, the President of Mozambique expressed “his deep appreciation for the Algerian President’s delegation at Wednesday’s inauguration ceremony.”

He said that this “mirrors the quality of historical relations that unite the two countries.”

“Chapo also expressed his country’s aspiration to strengthen bilateral cooperation to elevate it to the level of both countries’ capabilities and the quality of long-standing relations between Algeria and Mozambique,” said the same source.

“The meeting provided an opportunity to recall the shared history of the two peoples in their struggle for freedom and independence, including Algeria’s support for the Mozambique Liberation Movement (FRELIMO),” according to the press release.

The same source said that “the two parties also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across various sectors.”
