“Algeria and Greece have maintained friendly ties that extend back to antiquity, and as Mediterranean countries, we seek to deepen our economic cooperation to reflect the depth of our historical and political relations,” stated Verghis after presenting his credentials to President Tebboune.

“I had a fruitful discussion with President Tebboune, and we decided to deepen our economic relations so that they can rise to the level of our historical and political relations,” he noted.

The new ambassador also announced “the upcoming political consultations between the two countries and a joint ministerial meeting to boost bilateral relations.”
