In a statement following his audience with the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Diop, special envoy of the Senegalese president, said that he had delivered a “message of friendship and brotherhood to the President of the Republic, as well as congratulations on his re-election to the country's highest office.”

“During the meeting, we reviewed the broad outlines of the relationship between Algeria and Senegal, and we agreed that this relationship is of very high quality,” he said.

The minister further stressed the need to collaborate to improve it, diversify it and expand it, particularly in education, training of our senior staff and hydrocarbons, he noted, commending Algeria's experience in this field.

Algeria and Senegal “are also two countries that place great importance on international solidarity and African integration, and have decided to join hands to ensure that all African institutions are capable of backing their States in achieving the objectives they have set for themselves,” he concluded.
