ALGIERS-The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks on Tuesday with the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, on the sidelines of his chairmanship of high-level meetings scheduled as part of Algeria’s presidency of the Security Council, the ministry said in a press release.

The meeting reviewed the joint efforts in favour of the principles of the United Nations Charter and in service of peace and development in the world, in light of the priorities of Algeria’s Security Council presidency,” said the same source.

The two parties also discussed current international and regional issues, notably the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories following the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement.
