Freed Spanish national extends thanks to President Tebboune

ALGIERS-The freed Spanish national, Navaro Canada Joaquim, extended his thanks Wednesday to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and to all the Algerian authorities for ensuring his safety until his release.

Speaking during the handling over to his country’s ambassador to Algeria, Fernando Moran Calvo-Sotelo, which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, under the supervision of the Ministry’s Secretary General, Lounes Magramane, the national thanked the Algerian authorities for ensuring his safety at all times, and “particularly the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.”

“I feel safe by your side. These were hard times for me. I feel relieved after my liberation.” He said.

The freed Spanish national was transferred from the airport of Tin Zaouatine, in the sixth Military Region, to the Military Base of Boufarik, in the first Military Region, aboard a special aircraft.
