[ecr] During this three-day visit (January 19-21), "the Director General of the National Police (DGSN) discussed with his counterpart, Lieutenant-General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ways to strengthen and develop mechanisms of cooperation in the field of policing, in the best interests of both countries and to elevate it to the level of their privileged fraternal relations.
This took place in the presence of the Algerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and both countries’ police executives, the source said.
This visit allowed "the Algerian delegation to visit several operational police structures, such as the Department of Technology and Artificial Intelligence, which is equipped with cutting-edge smart security systems used to manage and streamline road traffic and apprehend violators."
The DGSN delegation also visited the headquarters of the General Directorate of Scientific Police, where they received explanations about its departmental responsibilities and the equipment used in criminal investigations.
At the end of the visit, "the DGSN visited the National Center for Unified Security Operations (911), which serves as a relay and coordination hub between the police forces of the Saudi Kingdom , in addition to its role in receiving and forwarding reports to the relevant authorities." [/ecr]
