Study day on French nuclear tests in Algeria: Boughali chairs preparatory committee meeting

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the People's National Assembly, Brahim Boughali, chaired on Sunday a meeting of the preparatory committee for the study day planned in Adrar under the theme “French nuclear tests in Algeria: a crime against humanity and the environment,” the Parliament’s Lower House said in a press release.

“The final preparations for this important event were discussed during this meeting, particularly regarding reception facilities and logistical means necessary to ensure the smooth running of this meeting,” said the same source.

“Aspects related to media coverage were also discussed',” according to the source.

“The committee also reviewed arrangements for an upcoming conference titled “Cancer in Algeria: Current State and Treatment Outlook,” scheduled for 11 February 2025, at the headquarters of the People’s National Assembly. The event will explore the current cancer situation in Algeria and challenges in patient care delivery.

This meeting took place in the presence of the president of the Lower House’s Committee on Health, Social Affairs, Labor and Professional Training, Saïd Hamsi, and the executives of the People’s National Assembly, according to the statement.
