Attaf receives NATO’s Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs, Security Policy

ALGIERS — The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Wednesday at the ministry's headquarters the Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy of NATO, Javier Colomina, who is on an official visit to Algeria, according to a ministry statement.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the current state and prospects of dialogue and cooperation between Algeria and NATO.

The two sides also shared their analyses and views on several issues of common interest, particularly security challenges in the Euro-Mediterranean area and developments in the situation in the Middle East and the Sahel-Saharan region.

The second session of the political dialogue between Algeria and NATO was held as part of this visit, the statement concluded.
